No Letup in Mainstream Media Propaganda

If you get your news from the Mainstream Media and/or TV you can turn on all the lights, but you'll still be in the dark.

CBC: Russian choice between nuclear weapons and leaving Ukraine 'rapidly approaching,' expert says

​Since when would anybody with chips in the game admit that Putin is not crazy? High hopes from "Expert" Nicholas Drummond, a "former British army officer and now a defence analyst."

Let's take a look at the photos provided:

The CBC got that image from the Associated Press. They clearly have no witnesses on the ground.

My take on the photo: An "injured" woman leans against a wall with "blood" dripping down her front. In the background we see an apparently unfazed woman who has just walked past the "injured" woman after returning from shopping -- and there are people conversing casually on the street.

Only the photographer seems to notice the supposedly injured woman. I wonder why that is.

Now scroll down the same page to see a totally wrecked vehicle -- and then look for any other damage in the vicinity. None is what I saw. Amazing how Russia can completely destroy a vehicle without any collateral damage. 

CNN has come right out and said that there are fake reports.  And, of course, from history we know that in wars the First Casualty is Truth.

But, hey, good on the CBC for earning its bribe to support the Trudeau government. Some other news outlets do try to say it like it really is:

• The Western media refuses to approach Zelensky with a critical lense, and the world is paying for it
• The most frequent comparison is Winston Churchill, the British imperialist who squared off against Adolf Hitler during WWII. Yes, Churchill with a murderous track record, but adored by the Western propagandists who cover up his long history of atrocities. 

As a peace-loving Canadian how do you like being at war with Russia? How do you like paying for comedian Zelensky's big moment of fame?  I wonder how many know that it was Russia who helped us finally win the war against the Nazis.  And now a whole new-old batch of Nazis is thriving in Ukraine.

One can't help but assume that Chrystia Freeland's grudge against Russia is a result of her own family's Nazi background.

• Efforts by Turkish and UAE officials “to act as (conflict resolution) mediators” have gone nowhere because hegemon USA wants perpetual war on Russia by expendable Ukrainian foot soldiers and unparalleled sanctions.
• As for the US-installed puppet Zelensky regime, it’s powerless with no say over anything related to Russia.
• It follows orders from its US master, including Pentagon and CIA elements involved on the ground in orchestrating and directing its aggression since 2014.

Alberta's New Premier Already Being Raked over Coals

MSN: Alberta’s Smith says she didn’t mean to trivialize with comment on unvaccinated

• Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says she didn't mean to trivialize prejudice faced by minority communities when she suggested unvaccinated people have experienced the most discrimination she has ever seen in her lifetime.
• Smith said in a statement Wednesday that she intended to underline the mistreatment of individuals who chose not to be vaccinated.
• "I don't think I've ever experienced a situation in my lifetime where a person was fired from their job or not allowed to watch their kids play hockey or not allowed to go visit a loved one in long-term care or hospital, not allowed to get on a plane to either go across the country to see family or even travel across the border."

YYC: The missing words were: Canadian Government-inflicted discrimination. If special interest groups can't see in this the possible implications for the future of all Canadians they need to start living in the present.

Trudeau Government Haggling with Google?

TheStar: Ottawa slams Google-backed survey criticizing Canada’s online news bill as an attempt to ‘avoid accountability’

• Google’s decision to poll Canadians about its concerns is the latest move from the multinational tech company in its battle against Ottawa’s online regulation legislation.
• Abacus Data on Friday published a report on Canadians’ views about Bill C-18, a piece of legislation that would compel online platforms like Google and Facebook to share some of the revenues they generate from posting news content on their sites with the outlets that produce the stories. The bill, known as the Online News Act, is now being studied by the House of Commons heritage committee.
• The survey, which was designed by Abacus but paid for by Google Canada ...

See that? "Paid for by Google Canada". Think about that next time you see the results of polls. Ask yourself: "who paid for it?"

By the same token: ask yourself what the government is afraid of. Now that everybody knows Trudeau paid the media not to criticize him, I guess he has to find them some money somehow, or they might start telling a few truths (if they still know how to).
