What kind of God are we singing about?

What kind of God are we singing about?

In Canada we sing, "God keep our land glorious and free".

In America the motto is: "In God we trust"

But what about the so-called "Word of God" where traumatising children deserves a fate worse than mere death?
  • And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

BaltimoreSun: Police need to stop the practice of detaining people on the ground ...
  • Standing over citizens prone on the ground gives police such a feeling of dominance that they will resist change and legislation will be required to curtail this practice.

And what about the so-called "Word of God" where covering nakedness is held to be an act of decency and human kindness?

Cops aren't necessarily brutal; sometimes they are just cold-hearted, jaded -- and maybe even not too bright.  But the ones arresting Daniel Prude had to have known full well that he was suffering mentally when they downed him and let the snow land on his naked body, and where an officer photographed the man's exposed genitals, no doubt as a souvenir.

Here's the video posted by TheRoot.com (you have to scroll a ways down the page).  You can see the officers laughing at Daniel's nakedness and his incoherent begging and rambling, and nobody even tried to find something with which to cover him up -- that right there being a sign of having lost one's Godly humanity.

It happened last March and not a word of it was mentioned in the media until Daniel's family spoke out recently in his defence: APNews
  • “I placed a phone call for my brother to get help. Not for my brother to get lynched,” Prude’s brother, Joe Prude, said at a news conference. “How did you see him and not directly say, ‘The man is defenseless, buck naked on the ground. He’s cuffed up already. Come on.’
  • How many more brothers gotta die for society to understand that this needs to stop?”

In a weird kind of sense, Daniel was another victim of the Corona virus hoax. The police used the excuse of protecting themselves from contamination by placing a "spit hood" over his head as he was lying cuffed on the ground and holding it tightly against his face.

I take strong exception to the words used by the APNews report:
  • "[Daniel] Prude demands they remove it."

If pleading and begging can be construed by the reporter as a demand, then even he comes across as somewhat brutish.

Part of police (and media) training, perhaps, ought to be to cuff a few of them behind their backs and leave them lying on the ground, trying to keep their faces out of the dirt, until their chest muscles contract to the point of suffocation.

The "spit hood" merely hastened what was already happening to Daniel, and either the cops were really, really stupid or they knew exactly what was likely to occur.

Police brutality is a common term nowadays, but the true reality of the word "brutal" has been lost.

What is a "brute"?

Artha:
brute ~ noun
-  a cruelly rapacious [predatory] person -- brute ~ adj
-  resembling a beast; showing lack of human sensibility; beastly desires; a bestial nature; brute force; a dull and brutish man

At best, the cops who downed Daniel Prude were a "dull and brutish" lot.

There's so much of man's ongoing inhumanity toward man being revealed these days, it makes the downing of monuments of the brutal distant past fade into simply more of the same.  John A. Macdonald showed himself to be a brute in his put-down of Métis peoples, and his assessment of Louis Riel as "crazy" -- so crazy he had to be hanged for it -- simply because Madonald had the recognized power, and he knew he'd be knighted for his actions.

What's worse; to slaughter a human or knock over a monument? I can't get upset about the latter, even if it means getting Biden elected.  Biden/Trump = not much difference.

Too many of today's Police cruelly put down people they deem to be crazy and therefore inferior --  (put down in the sense that a dog might be "put down") -- simply because they want to and because they can.

Was Daniel Prude also a victim of Covid-19 measures?  Well, it certainly gave the cops licence to suffocate him with a "spit hood" - even though he was constrained by cuffs and they could have simply "social distanced" while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

Covid has certainly frightened enough people into compliance with the most obviously insane and contradictory official orders -- not wearing a mask, for instance, at the declared "height" of the "pandemic", then being forced, under threat of "legal" action, to wear a mask when there is not enough Covid activity to even be falsely recorded, let alone accurately.

If ever a statue of Justin Trudeau is erected, I hope I'm around to see the video.

So now I'm just going to say that if you haven't been hanging on (almost) every word coming out of the mouth of this guy below, here's your chance for some pretty deep thought:

JP -- a guy who thinks he knows they know what's best for us; what to worry about and what not to.

For instance:  "Bill Gates is not that smart" he says; "he's a billionaire, not a trillionaire".

What It's Like to Believe Everything the Media Tell You

Hi Yaya,
Here's a video you might find helpful or at least interesting. It's about mask madness and Kingston gets a mention.

Hi M.R. I did indeed find the video interesting. In fact it sparked a whole new post:

I like Randy Hillier for what he's been doing, but I disagree with him on a particular point, with apologies to you for your kindness in hoping to cheer me up.

I realize I'm a bit too dead serious these days, but to make up for it, you might get a chuckle out of the image of Theresa Tam at the bottom of the post. LOL

It's pretty hard for me to feel cheery right now. While driving in town earlier today we saw a sad line of young school kids (16 or so I think), all wearing masks, being led on an anti-social-distanced walk to who knows where. It couldn't have been to give them fresh air because they wouldn't be getting much of that with masks on. Perhaps it was outdoor obedience training. I turned as we passed, looked at the teacher at the head of the line, and I'm certain he could read my lips when I said, "Oh my God!", in an attempt to convey utter dismay at what we were seeing. In retrospect, he could have interpreted that as being aghast that the kids weren't locked up in their classroom. Dammit. I think they might use the faux results from school covid tests to propagate a "second wave" hysteria and instigate harsher controls. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Excellent new article, Yaya. Thanks for the kind words. TT gives me the creeps. I avoid her(?) image like the plague and I've managed to never listen to her(?). It's bad enough to read about what she(?) is saying.

I'm making crockpot chicken soup today. I've heard it's good for the soul as well as for what ails you. After our first snow yesterday (only on the mountain tops, not in the valley), the sun is back out and a nice walk after dinner will help too, I hope.

Oh, M.R., I don't think I would have been able to stand seeing those kids like that. I would have been tempted to shout, "Run for your lives!"

I have little doubt that sending them back to school is an attempt to show that the virus is still active, and therefore still a danger to everyone -- all in aid of continuing the regimentation of society.

Something has to end this bizarre nightmare. I keep hoping that miracles do sometimes happen.

Wow, just thinking of your chicken soup has made me feel a bit better. And the snow on the mountains. Those are the kinds of things I guess we need to focus on to stay as normal as possible.
