They Suffered For Their Freedom
Seriously -- Is all of society on its way to being imprisoned "down at the end of lonely street, in heartbreak hotel"?. Elvis 1956
Seniors, isolated at home, longing to be free again, went to get the vaccine and were left outside in the cold for hours - VIDEO - due to an unexplained "glitch" in the system.
But we all love old people, don't we, and wouldn't hurt them for anything, would we, and we want to make sure they get their very iffy vaccine, though it isn't really a vaccine, but it was produced in a race among producers, and it's injected as if it were a vaccine, so what's the diff, really?
And, for travellers returning home from abroad (not politicians of course), Canada certainly seems to have made sure that, in future, they'll think very long and hard about whether or not it's worth the hassle. Tough love, I think it's called.
Not to mention that, since the beginning of the whole "Covid" scare, if you had vital surgery scheduled, you were told to wait -- and wait -- and wait, pretty much unto death:
PFYT: Nearly 354K surgeries, procedures, consultations postponed due to COVID-19, report says
They don't even know how many people they sent home to die, but you can be reasonably sure that their guesstimate is very likely on the slim side.
I'm in the habit of reading the local obits a couple of times a week now (to find out where old acquaintances are), and it's not surprising that many people are said to have died "peacefully at home" who perhaps might have been saved by surgery. More truthfully stated, they were under house arrest. Isolated and in pain, literally forgotten by government, and -- with death staring them in the face -- they very likely opted for "Assisted Dying".
That, apparently, is the new pandemical prison system.
Commenter: "They set actual prisoners free out of kindness, and made non-criminals into prisoners."
Yes, they freed actual criminals - around 2000 of them - for humane reasons, they say, though it sure comes across as a cynical mind game, especially in light of the measures imposed on non-criminals -- and god help us all if more people don't soon start wondering why.
And now, for the protection/punishment of travellers (the regular kind, not the political kind, of course):

Travelling is a 2% source of the problem and that’s what they focus on?! Did everyone in this country lose their mind?
My answer is YES -- especially the minds of those enforcing the rules!
Now about me:
Several times lately, I've gone to buy groceries on "Seniors Day" first thing in the morning, when there are fewer people in the store -- to avoid freaking out too many frantic mask wearers -- whereupon, each of several times recently, I experienced exactly the same surprise: As I'm standing "sanitizing" my hands and also the handle of my cart, a non-senior, wearing a mask, saunters in ahead of me, by-passing the sanitizer.
So, they're allowed to go around contaminating grocery items that I might be interested in buying! But if I touch those same items, I could conceivably contract "Covid", despite having sanitized my hands. In other words, there's no rationality to any of the regulations.
I've been chided lately, on at least three occasions, by men who take it upon themselves to tell me "You need to remember your mask, lady!" I managed to come up with a retort for the last guy who admonished me: "Your not my father," I said. That seemed to work, so I'm ready to try it again.
Strangely, women haven't commented at all. In fact they often smile and say hello. When a woman got too close to me in the grocery line, I gently reminded her it wasn't allowed (didn't want her to get yelled at the way I've sometimes been), and that we are all supposed to distance, and she apologized and moved back. But I told her not to apologize because "as far as I'm concerned, this whole thing is a crock", and guess what she answered: "Yeah, that's what I think too."
I wonder how many other people are putting up with the insanity, just in order to buy food. Or to keep a job. When are they going to finally yell, "I'm not taking it anymore!"
A young delivery person at my apartment building, a couple of days ago, invited me onto the elevator with him. I hesitated because the rules in the building demand masks and I wasn't wearing one, and it was the smaller elevator not enough distancing room. But he persisted: "Come on," he repeated jovially. So I got on with him, and I explained, "I've been out walking, and I sure can't wear a mask doing that." and he nodded. And then I said, "I really don't believe masks are effective, anyway." And he answered, "Nope", and by then his floor was reached and he exited, but not before telling me gently to "have a good day".
There he was, an apparent non-believer, wearing his mask solely to keep his job; not because he was in any way afraid of "Covid".
It's hard to look at Calendar Boy Trudeau and not wonder what kind of evil lurks deep within his pretty exterior (not to mention his socks fetish) that supports the malicious farce of isolation for old, and/or sick people (under the guise of having their best wishes at heart) while insisting on their use of masks at all times, to the point where they lose even facial recognition. Meanwhile, "The Boyfriend" suffers a strange disconnect and laments the use of Solitary Confinement in prisons:
VICE: [Solitary] Confinement Is ‘Unacceptable’.
Granted, his priority at the moment is taking away more guns from ordinary, non-criminal Canadians, and the toady media are helping him by reminding us of Trudeau's near-death experience when an armed intruder reportedly crashed through the fence of the PM's current residence.
The intruder was well-armed, but he didn't try to shoot anybody, even when the RCMP approached to arrest him -- he just wanted to lament that he had lost his business because of the lockdowns and now Trudeau was trying to take away his hobby.
Frankly, I wouldn't have a gun anywhere near me because they are dangerous, but other people actually feel safer with them and, all things considered, there are very few gun deaths in Canada (scroll to bottom of chart).
How many times do Canadians need to be reminded of the real causes of the total number of annual deaths, in order to put this whole "Covid"-induced nightmare into perspective, and to start to realize the real reason Trudeau is so worried about guns?
It sure look as if he wants an unarmed population -- and that's not looking good for the future of freedom in Canada - because the only people who will have the guns will be paid by and take their orders from Government. So in-person protests will be very brave acts indeed.
I remember in the wake of 9/11 seeing sharpshooters on downtown Ottawa rooftops, openly aiming their guns at us, as I and others walked home from an anti-war protest. Not to mention the military-like, heavily armed guards at the Montebello protest (scroll to bottom of this page for photo) -- against totally unarmed civilians! Is that to be commonplace in the future?
Call me a "conspiracy theorist" if you like -- and many no doubt will in lieu of a reasoned rebuttal -- but ask yourself this:
This, of course, would not be the first time the RCMP have colluded with government scare tactics against the people since Trudeau became PM:
HuffPost: A British Columbia couple found guilty of terrorism charges have had their verdicts tossed out in a scathing court decision that flays the RCMP for its "egregious" conduct in manipulating naive suspects into carrying out a police-manufactured crime.
And I have my doubts about the Nova Scotia shooter story as well:
