The Importance of Being Trustworthy
... and the folly of blind trust
Not to mention Blind Trusts.
I'm not middle class [Trudeau] said. "I don't pretend I am." HuffPost
Justin Trudeau's deep sense of inherent entitlement is his only flaw. I'm sure he's perfect otherwise; no doubt he thinks so too. The WE scandal is just another superfluous example of how misunderstood he is; just something from which the official Opposition can make political hay.
Trudeau crowed his money virtue quite a while back when announcing he had handed over his investments to a Blind Trust.
But he didn't and Trudeau didn't make sure that he did, and actually made excuses for him. Are we surprised? I mean, why shouldn't he; it's all "theoretical" anyway.
Definition: In a blind trust, the trustees have full discretion over the assets, and the trust beneficiaries theoretically have no knowledge of the holdings of the trust.
I doubt Trudeau would feel the impetus to make such a pious declaration about his own finances were he not himself heavily invested in ... oh, let's say ... pharmaceuticals aka vaccines. I doubt anyone breathed a sigh of pride and relief at how the PM signalled his own virtue.
In fact, and backed up by a Delacourt opinion piece in the Star, we're probably seeing the mere tip of the Justinberg.
Polls reportedly tell us that his handling of the Covid crisis has won him favour with the Canadian people, but is it possible that rampant panic can wipe out the part of the brain that detects gross hypocrisy and focuses rather on the duties assigned to the population itself that are privately ignored by both federal and provincial politicians, regardless of political persuasion?
Check out the video on this WE exposé. Do you see any masks in the parliamentary "enclosed space"? Any spritzers? Are there 6 feet between those rows of chairs?
If the public must be treated as children, shouldn't our daddies and mommies in Parliament set an example? Shouldn't Trudeau at least be sent to his room without any dinner?
Is anybody even paying attention, or are they too busy fearing death and stitching up matching hubby&spouse face coverings? Might not time be better spent, for example, by finding out whether or not there is anything to be learned from literature? Or at least old films derived from literature?
Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest
The original 1952 and 1986 versions are free on YouTube, but Google charges money for the newest (and least truest to the original text) version - 2002.
At the very least, you could read the really important parts at Cliff Notes:
There may be a drop of truth in Lady Bracknell's opinion that Bunbury set a bad example for the young by allowing himself to become ill in the first place. Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die sounds like fun, but however Biblical it may be, it's also a way to kill yourself, depending on what and how much you eat and drink. Maybe we should all just merrily watch our diets.
I don't feel I lack compassion, and I don't think anybody who knows me would say I do. But there's much to be said for predictions coming true simply because they are issued by so-called "authorities". It's difficult to see any compassion in any doctor who has the gall to predict to his patient how much time he/she has left on this earth.
There are plenty of Bunburys who have died because their doctors told them they would and they accepted the prediction, even though most doctors may well admit they work in the dark; they guess; they surmise; they may even hope for the best, but don't want to share that hope in case they are wrong. Why? Because they are usually wrong.
Yet people still run to them like kiddies to daddy/mommy. And if the top medical surmiser declares a killer flu, people may well die from fear and worry, both of which can cause any number of stress disorders. Not to mention physical damage caused by a panicked medical profession.
HuffPost: Preventable Medical Error Is Canadian Healthcare's Silent Killer
Trust Yaya -- you are never going to know how many people actually died directly from the so-called "novel" flu, but you can be sure that far greater dangers abound that people seldom give a thought to because the numbers and dire warnings aren't broadcast night and day on the boob tube nor obsessively Twittered about.
And therein lies the secret. People don't obsess on the real dangers because they aren't encouraged to by "authority" -- because there's no financial value in "authority" doing that. If you feared a traffic accident so much, for instance, that you decided to travel by bus, a number of industries would be adversely affected. But if you fear a "novel" flu enough to want a vaccine, the gargantuan pharmaceutical industry can make obscene profits.
You can smoke cigarettes and pot all you like. You can drink yourself into a stupor every night. You can let yourself go completely to pot with fatty take-out. That's all good because it makes money for the franchisers. There's a reason, for instance, that the liquor stores were included among the "essential businesses" and allowed to stay open when your dentist was not allowed to practise, and you couldn't buy or borrow a book to read. Covid is all about big industry profits. Pure and simple. And that should be patently clear by now.
If everyone stopped running to the "health profession" every time they had an itch or an ache, the pharmaceutical industry would find a way to frighten them back into that behaviour with mind-bending TV commercials about the potential dangers lurking within and without your body. You'd start checking for lumps, rashes and tender spots, and you'd probably find something you don't understand. And your doctor would very likely give you something for it "just in case". "It's a new salve/drug/lotion; it might work", they'll tell you.
And that could start an avalanche of even stranger reactions that would require an antidote to the antidote ... and so on.
It's no secret that the medical profession works hand in pocket with the pharmaceutical industry. I can't believe I even have to mention that. And chances are that if one's doctor gives one 3 months to live, one may very well oblige. Not everyone, mind you, but quite a few.
Live Science offers a calculator they got from DeathRisksRanking.com but the referred-to website is now dead and buried. Looks like it was felled by too much attention.
Make what you will of the following -- most people who panicked and are still pathetically obedient to the Covid lock-down measures don't have a clue about this guy:
The Federalist: The Scientist Whose Doomsday Pandemic Model Predicted Armageddon Just Walked Back The Apocalyptic Predictions
Now there's a prediction you can take to the bank.
And you know what? Ten-to-one it isn't really "the novel Wuhan coronavirus".
But hey, if you reely, reely need to know when you're going to die, just click here.

I've only been able to find some snippets of "The White Coat Summit" but I did watch "America's Frontline Doctors Summit - Session 1" yesterday on YouTube. (It's very long so I did skip through a bit.) YT might be suppressing the view count but the video is still there today at least. Thank goodness there are some doctors who have put their jobs on the line to speak up for their patients. Nice to see Dr. Erickson again and to hear about Dr. Armstrong's experience treating covid in his elderly patients in Texas. Dr. Gold (E.R. doctor) understands the value of freedom -- good for her.

Hi M.R. I'm working on another blog post at the moment, but I'm glad to see you've watched the white coat summit. I'm writing more about that today and it should go live in about half an hour.

Aha, I just found the whole "White Coat Summit" on thetruthseeker.co.uk and I'm watching it now. Good stuff! Looking forward to your next blog post, yaya. Whenever someone gives me a stay-safe I give them back a be-free. Guess you know what my best wishes are for you.

I'm going to remember that. "Be Free". I have been told to stay safe but didn't know what to say back without being insulting;-]
