1.  Freedom Convoy Anniversary

CTV: 23 vehicles towed, dozens of tickets issued as rally marks one-year anniversary of 'Freedom Convoy' in Ottawa  [Be sure to watch the CTV videos]

• Trudeau: "I understand that there are lots of Canadians who are hurting, and they will continue to lash out and be frustrated. They have, of course, every right to express themselves and protest" ...

YYC: Who was that man, and what have they done with the real Trudeau?

• As of Sunday afternoon, police and Bylaw Services officers had issued 192 parking tickets for violating the Special Event No-Stopping Zone restrictions and 67 Provincial Offences Notices, while 23 vehicles had been towed from downtown streets.
• Parliamentary Protective Service officers arrested two people for trespassing on Parliament Hill Saturday afternoon.
• "I'm happy to say there was a number of tickets, a number of tows" ... Coun. Ariel Troster said Sunday *
• Mayor Mark Sutcliffe told CTV News Ottawa on Saturday police had reported no issues.

2. Cashless Economy = Privacy Threat

TheWhig: A quarter of Canadian grocery stores won’t accept cash in five years, report suggests

• The convenience of going cashless at the grocery store comes with a privacy cost, according to a new study from Dalhousie University's Agri-Food Analytics Lab 
• Fifty-three per cent of Canadians see a cashless economy as a privacy threat, and several recent incidents show just how real this threat is. A cybersecurity “event” in November 2022 will cost Sobeys $25 million, parent company Empire Co. Ltd. said in a report. Empire is still investigating whether customer information was compromised. Meanwhile, Maple Leaf Foods was hit by a ransomware attack that same month, and experts say that cybercrime is only getting worse.

I personally want nothing to do with those iffy card machines in stores. If stores want people to do their work for them, they should pay them for it.  As it is, the prices keep going up and the service keeps going down.

People who think cash is germy, should think about what their card is picking up in a slot that tons of other cards have visited. They should also think of the debt they are creating for themselves by using credit cards:

• Canadians are swiping their credit cards at a rising rate, and racking up more and more debt.

YYC: The Bank of Canada says it's attempting to ease the "inflation" situation, but one must keep in mind that the Bank of Canada works for the Bank of Canada.

3. Sticks and Stones ...

GlobalNews: Security memos reveal ‘intensified’ threats facing Canadian MPs

YYC: All one needs to know is this:

• All of the documents reviewed by Global News were prepared at the request of an unknown recipient — their identity among the many redactions.

Excellent reason to dismiss this as merely detracting from the government's own shockingly indecent assaults on Canadians with lies, fake pandemics, deaths due to surgical cancellations, massive deaths in "care" homes, deaths from mandated vaxxes, food price rises, increasing homelessness, violence against peaceful protesters, name-calling, and lies, lies, lies -- while providing Global News with a raison d'être.

Given Trudeau's dedication to Klaus Schwab (video) and his dream of a "Great Reset" one would think that all of this, and probably much more, was/is expected and prepared for.

What the government decries as threats to "freedom" merely provides an excuse to exert even more authority -- and perhaps to eventually eliminate the very word "Freedom" itself.

4. The First Casualty

YYC: If you don't think Canada is at war, then why are we sending killing machines (and un-mentioned military personnel) to Ukraine (see "Canada at War" below), and why are Canadians feeling suffocated by government policies, rules, threats and outright lies?

RebelNews: Orwellian Bill C-11 passes third reading in the Senate

• The highly criticized piece of legislation will have detrimental repercussions for Canadian media autonomy while granting sweeping powers to federally-funded content regulators.
• “Aspects of this bill may have a sweeping effect on broadcasting in Canada — or modest effect, depending on future CRTC decisions.”
• As Canada's ranking on the freedom scale declines and things that the government deemed misinformation turn out to be true, granting the CRTC new powers and sweeping control over internet content with ambiguously worded legislation and unknown consequences will be detrimental to Canadian media autonomy.

​More from Rebel News: Canada no longer ranks as one of freest countries in the world, despite national anthem that refers to country as "true north strong and free".                        

• Freedoms erode and finances skyrocket, the two appear to go hand in hand.
• A recent report put out by the Fraser Institute gauging the Human Freedom Index for 2022 found that Canada now ranks at thirteenth on the human freedom scale.

• This year, Canada ranks as the 13th freest country in the world (based on 2020 data, the earliest available) compared to 6th in last year’s ranking (based on 2019 data).
• The index measures personal freedom—the rule of law, safety and security, identity and relationships (i.e. the freedom to choose your relationship partner), freedom of movement, speech, assembly and religion—alongside economic freedom, the ability of individuals to make their own economic decisions.

5. Canada at War

NatPost: Canadian special forces operating in Ukraine, New York Times reports

• The Department of National Defence and the office of Defence Minister Anita Anand did not comment on the report
• Both CTV and Global News reported in late January that Canadian special forces had been sent to Ukraine, but National Defence did not comment on that deployment.
• The Liberal government is strongly supportive of Ukraine. It is still in discussions with South Korea to purchase 100,000 artillery shells for Ukraine in a deal that could cost Canadian taxpayers several hundred million dollars.
• The Liberal government already spent $98 million to buy 20,000 similar artillery rounds from the U.S. for Ukraine.

War is gold for weapons manufacturers.

Here's what the official Canada website says:

Canadian military support to Ukraine

• Since February 2022, Canada has committed over $1 billion in military assistance to Ukraine.
• Operation (Op) UNIFIER, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) military training and capacity building mission in Ukraine, was launched in 2015 at the request of the Ukrainian government, and early in 2022, was expanded and extended until March, 2025.
• Since the start of Op UNIFIER, the CAF has trained over 35,000 Ukrainian military and security personnel in battlefield tactics and advanced military skills.

It's no coincidence that Canada's Finance Minister comes from a family of Ukrainians and owns property in Kyiv -- March 5/22 (CTVNews).

• “To my own Ukrainian-Canadian community, let me say this: Now is the time for us to be strong as we support our friends and family in Ukraine,” she said, later speaking in Ukrainian.

Not only that, but:

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland warned Canadians against fighting for Russia in Ukraine, saying anyone who does so could face severe consequence --March 4/22  (CTVNews)

So, mind you don't rile the Finance Minister. She thinks it's her right to force Canadians to support her family homeland to the detriment (and massive expense) of our own.

I must be really stupid, because it seems to me that it's NATO that should come to Ukraine's defence. One has to wonder why it's allowing all of this to happen. I'm still thinking that it's because NATO (specifically the U.S.) would be breaking its own rules if it were to build bio-warfare labs, so it gives money to Ukraine to do it for them.

Here's an "explainer" that may or may not prove useful:

And the (not so) funny thing is that Ukraine wants to join NATO but NATO won't allow it because NATO doesn't sully itself by building labs; instead it pays Ukraine to do it for them -- and that's why Ukraine is not welcome as a member of NATO.

Maybe my theory about the labs isn't just a theory. There's a lot more going on here than just big, bad Russia picking on a small country (region?) (state?).

• Ever since Moscow put the cat among the pigeons by drawing attention to the existence of a network of US-funded and controlled biological warfare labs on Ukrainian soil, Washington has kept changing its story. 

Canada is going to reek as bad as those other countries when, if, this is all over.
