Make Our World Go 'Round

We, the populace, must be confused at all cost.

(Like Carl Sagan's stars - "billiions and billions" of dollars -- not to mention lives.)

FIRST UP: THE CLIMATE DILEMMA: Is the world heating up or cooling down?

Depends on where you find your weather info. Me, I totally trust the Government weather report -- it's wrong only about half the time.

Friday, it was cold but sunny, some snow on the ground, but sidewalks cleared, so I went grocery shopping. At the supermarket I was warned about Saturday by the friendly cashier. Really heavy snow apparently predicted. So widespread was the rumour that it reached the UK.

Saturday: As I prepare this "Sunday Report", there's been a light bit of rain; yesterday's snow is completely gone; it's cloudy and a forecast of "heavy snow fall" has been adjusted to "heavy rain" and then to "a chance of rain" with warnings about heavy winds instead. "Widespread utility outages may occur". "Shingles may fly off building roofs; trees may fall."

All those changes were put forth before noon, none of which has so far transpired and it's 4:30 pm. But, thanks to my trusty Computer/Linux expert I'm not worried, being now the proud owner of a scary, heavy box to plug my cables into, so my computer equipment is at least protected against the effects of outages, and worried I am not.

We actually had one of those outages a couple of months ago caused solely by a falling tree -- due to old age (130 yrs.) and root rot -- landing right across the street, taking down a power line with it. (Hence, my appreciation of the scary, heavy box.)  I don't recall any untoward weather on that day.

Then the gov't says:

What? They get their info from Twitter? Help! It may not be good for me to laugh this hard.

More as things progress (see foot notes). Right now, I can hear intermittent rain splashing against the windows (it's almost 5 PM); they badly needed a cleaning anyway.

It can't be easy for JT though. First it's all about warming; then it's all about cooling; then it's just all about "change". And here I thought it was all about money, eh?

I gotta tell ya, the weather has seriously changed back and forth throughout my whole life, and Bill Nye, for one, hates me and other oldies like me  -- because we have memories! (Hmmm ... wasn't Alzheimers' supposed to remedy that?)  I might forget where I left my glasses, but my past haunts me night and day.

So much for Billy Nye's adamant pronouncement: 'The planet is on f---ing fire!'

He teaches science to kids with that mouth?

Next: Re BMJ: 2020 excess deaths, according to the British Medical Journal.

Dr. Higgs writes in response: 

• 2020, the year ‘covid’ appeared and colds/flu magically vanished …
• All-cause excess deaths per 100,000 people in the USA were … wait for it … just 160. See the opening chart, right-hand side, in that BMJ link. Yes, that’s one and a half extra deaths for every one-thousand people, i.e. 0.16% extra dead, statistically insignificant. Similarly for England & Wales it was 150 per 100,000.
• Why would anyone risk an untested experimental novel ‘vaccine’ for that?! But a billion of us worldwide, including my beautiful, perfectly healthy daughter, were coerced and/or fooled by government ‘experts’ and ‘scientists’ into doing just that; and a second jab; and a third.
• What about 2021, the year they introduced mass ‘vaccination’? How many excess deaths have there been, mostly killed by the ‘vax’? I shudder to think. The ‘experts’ will blame a new ‘variant’ and the unvaccinated. The sheeple will continue to line up with their children for more ‘boosters’. 1984 is here.

YYC: How lucky am I that my daughter is a staunch anti-vaxxer? Well, she had first to watch her beautiful second-born son slide into Autism -- after two agonizing days for both mother and child, during which he screamed non-stop -- after receiving the MMR jab. She educated me, because what did I know 20 years ago? Not much, having grown up with no vaccines at all.

I was too stupid then to know what Dr. Higgs is feeling now -- what any rational parent must feel when the government goes after their beloved offspring.

• I recommend starting with her Conclusions on p. 53.
• The main conclusion, again: no statistically significant excess deaths (per 100,000 people) in 2020 in the USA.
• What ‘pandemic’? We’ve been had.

Weather Warning Updates:

Here's the rest of my notes from Saturday regarding the dire warning of a dangerous wind storm:​

At 4 PM it has begun to rain - no storm, just some rain - and no blown-off shingles on the road; trees still standing (not even moving in the wind). Will I have to stay up until midnight to experience the curse of the predicted dangerous, stormy weather?

It's 6:00 PM. The rain stopped around 5 PM; there's a wind blowing, somewhat gusty, not scarily so (although the lights did just now flicker for a tiny second - oops, twice now) -- no tables or benches being blown around in the old folks' garden next door. And it's not very cold (I put my hand out the window). All the Christmas lights remain as they were. Sure hope I don't have to stay up all night to see the big moment.

Almost 10:30 PM: I hear the wind occasionally but it's still far from frightening.  What's it gonna do; wait until we're all asleep?  I put my hand out the window and if this were summer it would be a welcome breeze.  As it is, it's a bit chilly, but certainly not the deluge that was forecast.

If it wakes me up in the middle of the night, I'm going to be royally ticked off.

Update 7:50 AM Sunday: It didn't. All those warnings: a big to-do about nada.
