Iranian-Canadians dancing in the streets

Iranian-Canadians dancing in the streets ...

Celebrating for all the wrong reasons

NationalNewswatch: Iranian-Canadians dance, cheer and celebrate death of top general in Iran
  • "I was so happy to see this man killed," Matin said. ". . . I have to tell you, I had the greatest sleep last night."

A whole "several dozen" of them were not embarrassed to publicly celebrate a war crime!

Where are the brains and morals of these people?  I can't imagine dancing in the streets over the murder of anyone.  One celebrates when killing stops, not when it escalates.

Don't they realize that this was murder, pure and simple?  An illegal act by an American president who doesn't give two hoots what these Toronto-based dissident Iranians want, or whether or not they get a joyous night's sleep.

They miss their relatives and that warrants the murder of someone they don't miss?

Have they forgotten that the majority of home-based Iranians actually voted for the current administration? Do they want the lives of all of those people -- including the relatives they are missing now -- catapulted into dire peril to satisfy their own dream of revenge?

Those people need to think again. They should pause their blood lust for a moment to consider Trump's next step instead, and how that might possibly affect the situation for their relatives in Iran:

GlobalResearch: Trump Ordered the Assassination of Soleimani, and the Middle East Prepares for Possible War
  • Regional leaders and analysts feel that Trump has crossed a ‘red-line’ by killing such a high-level Iranian official.  This may illicit a comparable attack on a US official of equal stature. This decision by Trump is unprecedented, and many feel demonstrates his chaotic Middle East foreign policy.

The plan Trump is misguidedly attempting to follow was actually mapped out years ago [YouTube Condoleezza Rice] under the guise of spreading "freedom and democracy". (I find it ironic and inexplicable that Rice begins by reverently quoting Thomas Jefferson, a slave holder and of the opinion that women were "emotional creatures who had poor judgement")

Around the same time there was plenty written about "peak oil", but we don't hear much about that anymore.  I and a number of others wonder why. The mongers like to hear themselves using the "freedom and democracy" mantra, though Trump also seems to like to include the word "oil": for example, how Iraq owes its oil to America for having brought them "freedom and democracy".

Syria, also, owes its oil to America. Exactly why is a conundrum.

Even from a cold, military tactical perspective Trump has taken a bad turn by killing Soleimani:

DefenceOne: Who’s Next? Trump Crossed a Line with Soleimani’s Assassination
  • There’s a reason why the United States never just killed Nikita Khrushchev. Or Fidel Castro. Or the ayatollah. In simplest terms: if we kill them, we make it easier for others to do the same to us.

Not the highest of moral value in the above statement -- and Defence One still refers to Syria's Assad as a dictator who "gassed his own people" though he too was voted into office -- but merely in practical, tactical terms, Trump has crossed a very perilous line.

Some people are easily swayed by deliberate propaganda.  Others ask questions:

Counterpunch(2017): Why would Assad gas his own people?
  • Common sense, historical facts and circumstantial evidence suggest that it’s unlikely that Assad gassed his own people earlier this week.  In fact, it’s much more likely that the chemical weapons were from al-Qaeda, ISIS and/or other anti-Assad factions. Indeed, a case can be made that the attack was coordinated by the White Helmets, with US neoconservatives providing the script.

In other words, a "false flag", a term that can earn one the pejorative "conspiracy theorist", despite the following: GlobalResearch - 53 False Flags Admitted to.

False flags have historically been employed as an excuse for escalation, but Trump never seems to need an excuse, only a reason: oil.  At this very moment, he is preparing for all-out confrontation:

PennyforyourThoughts: Increased Plane Traffic At U.S. Italian And Spanish Bases Points To The U.S. Getting Ready For Military Confrontation

Even some Iraqis are celebrating the death of Iran's military leader but, given their own history, one has to wonder how much they've been paid or blackmailed to do so.

Not to be too conspiracy-minded, but the whole embassy fracas in Iraq that inspired Trump to send in the troops strongly looks similar to the staged toppling of Saddam Hussein's statue, which, by the way, has reportedly caused a profound regret in the heart of the toppler:

Time.com: The Iraqi Guy Who Toppled Saddam Hussein's Statue in 2003 Wants Saddam Back
  • He was elated when U.S. forces came, but now echoes the laments of many Iraqis from the years of instability and violence that have followed.
  • “Every year, things started to get worse. There was corruption, infighting, killing, looting,” he said. “Saddam has gone, but in his place we now have 1,000 Saddams.”

To our protesting Irani-Canadian friends: Perhaps you should ask yourselves this: If you can't go back home as things are now, how will it be if and when Trump and/or his successor(s) succeed in carrying out the long-range plan for the Middle East? You're cheering for all the wrong reasons.

By the way, those are nice professional banners and photos of the dead guy you're waving around.  How was that managed on such short notice?

Hi Corinne, what a way we started the new year, yikes! I think you should have titled this post:

"Some Iranian-Canadians dancing in the streets"

or better yet:

"Iranian-Canadians Collaborators dancing in the streets"

I actually had the misfortune to run across some of these traitors during the early 2000's, when the US invaded Iraq. Their take was that they wanted the US to do to Iran what they did to Iraq. As you can guess, I had a few harsh words for them. They are basically cult members, brainwashed, devoid of humanity.

I just hope, when the time comes, and it will, Canada stays the F-out of this conflict that is about to bring down the American Empire.

You're right, Chycho, I should have added the word "some" but instead I quoted the news caption.

I can't imagine you being truly harsh, but facts are facts, and I agree, they are "void of humanity".

With Freeland now Minister of Everything, and considering how she enjoys messing with other people's countries (i.e. Venezuela), it's hard to worry about whether or not Canada will participate in what really does appear to be coming down.

I assume you will be discussing this on twitch?

Oh, I can be extremely harsh, I try not to be though, not any more. I'm in the same mind set as Bob Ross now, kindness is everything, and with it, we can rebuild our world in our image.

As for Twitch, yup, most likely we'll be doing at least a couple of political live streams starting next weekend, and many more to come of course as events unfold.

Correction: It's hard NOT to worry!

Do you paint, Chycho? I was a painter from the age of 12, even had a show in the 90's and people bought my stuff, but somehow the urge disappeared during the years of protest in Ottawa and, although I keep my easel set up and ready, nothing happens.

I'm not creative; I can only paint exactly what I see; I'm a realist, and I don't really respect that in this day and age of photographs. Maybe that's my problem.

I never could bear to watch TV painters because I didn't want to be influenced by someone else's "formula", so only barely know about Bob Ross. He's somehow connected with ASMR, is he not? Hey, I can make my scalp tingle by just paying attention to it. Maybe I should do that more often. ;-)

haha... awesome! I would watch a YaYa ASMR painting video :)

As for me, no, not a painter, I really can't draw at all, I think that's one of the reasons I love comic books so much, I find the art mesmerizing.

There's a movie about Billy Jean King (Battle of the Sexes) that has a hairdressing scene which is supposed to create an ASMR effect. After your mention of Bob Ross, I decided to see if I could download the movie, and sure enough, although YouTube is selling it, someone uploaded a free copy - get this - this morning!

Synchronicity or what!!!!

I don't see doing a video in my future, but then my future tends to change every day, so ..... LOL

I'm just wondering if we know for certain that all of these protesters are Iranian-Canadians? Remember when Canada took in the White Helmets (i.e. the fake medics with black jihadi hearts) and their families after Israel had helped them escape from Syria into Jordan when the Syrian army had them on the run? I'd have wanted to have them all linquistically checked to determine whether or not Persian is their native tongue. It wouldn't be hard for a fake medic accustomed to staging fake chemical attacks to pretend to be Iranian and then join in a protest against his arch-enemy Iran. Gen. Soleimani was immensely helpful to the Syrian army by devising strategies to defeat the deranged militant invaders known as ISIS and other names. The White Helmets were nothing but a propaganda wing of ISIS.

Maybe I've become too skeptical about everything MSM but this is what my head does these days when a story like this appears. At the very least I have to wonder why a handful of protesters warrant our media's attention, compared to the hundreds of thousands of people in Iran and Iraq who are out in their streets to mourn the death of Gen. Soleimani.

You're smart, M.R. They could well have been paid to do it, and I noted that it's suspicious they so quickly had professional signs and photos ready to go -- as if they knew in advance -- while the Tehran photos showed huge crowds of people carrying hand-printed pieces of cardboard.

I remember in the late 2000's seeing Iranians peacefully protesting outside the Ottawa embassy shouting "No Ayatollah", and handing out leaflets, but they didn't seem bloodthirsty, just people who still remembered the Shah and wanted those days back. They were well-heeled types and likely missed the good old days when the oil companies ran the system, and certain people did very well while the majority suffered hardship.

The Ayatollah nationalized the oil and used the proceeds to improve the overall economy. It took a Trump to say out loud that it's all about oil, and always has been.
