How Does It Feel to be a Chicken Joke? Why did the chicken cross the road? To avoid oncoming traffic. I'll bet that answer makes sense to a lot of people who'd rather risk getting hit by a car than pass by anyone on the sidewalk these days. The sky might fall if they get too close to an actual human. Today I was thinking about the connotations of the word "chicken". So I decided to search for a chicken picture to head up my post, and was presented with a whole page of them on StartPage image search -- but all were either roasted or fried. Some cooked whole, some only the legs, some only the breast, but none of them alive. In order to get an image of a live chicken, I had to go to the cartoon section, because live chickens, apparently, are a big joke. And here we are, a whole nation of chickens, doing what the government dictates, while still believing ourselves to be respected citizens of Canada, "the true North strong and free". I like what a farmer returning from selling his pigs replied when asked, "Didja get whatcha expected? "Nope", he said, "didn't expect to." -- proving that you get what you think you're worth. Clearly, this nation has a very low view of itself, judging by the nitwits we elect into office, and our blind obedience to the restrictions they've laid out for us, despite their own lack of adherence to those very same rules. It's common knowledge now that Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Opposition Leader Scheer all broke the distancing and travel rules and garbled their way out of it. Not to mention Elizabeth May who said, "I can't be the person who says no". Why the blazes not! Sad that I used to think she was intelligent and had guts. The Canadian government's finest flu freely over the Cookoo's Nest, where the chickens daily cringe from one another; mimicking Hawks by watching out of the corners of their eyes; squealing on each other like Pigs, while trying not to think the unthinkable, that it was a tiny plane those politicians flew in where they could not possibly "keep to themselves" as Scheer swore they had. Is it any wonder that (sane) people equate the word "politician" with "liar"? Yet political life goes on unmolested, and polls are taken by paid-for media that attest to the perps' increased popularity as the lives of real Canadians deteriorate a little more each day. Meanwhile ... Ford tells people not to go to the cottage, and yet he goes to his cottage. Then he invites family members over on Mother's Day. And you know what that tells us, loud and clear? That they're not nearly as afraid of Covid as they've encouraged us to be. Not because they're brave, but because they know it's just another version of the flu! It isn't what it's cracked up to be! Unwittingly, they are shining proof that distancing is not at all necessary, except when you want to test out just how far you can push Chicken-Little into following inane rules. The sky is not falling! We've just come through a flu season in an extremely neurotic manner, with only a fraction of our huge population having been seriously affected. The same population that's affected by the ordinary flu every year, in numbers far less than the regular events that kill Canadians every day. If you haven't seen the video of Trudeau singing the latest hit song: "Speaking Moistly", and the one of Ford and Trudeau singing "Bunch of Yahoos", and also a group singing "Stay the Blazes Home", here's your big chance: - The National Post has all three. Admittedly, people have died, but mostly in nursing homes. So you tell me if this is not a segment of Bill Gates' plans for depopulation. People are still having too many children, and people are living too long, creating a drain on society. So who are most in danger in a so-called "pandemic"? You already know. Bill Gates admits that the vaccines are for human depopulation. According to him, to stabilize the world population, 350,000 people must be eliminated per day. Interesting that he accuses Dr. Andrew Wakefield of having financial interests that support his views. Gates should know about "financial interests"; he's barely able to contain his own avarice as he now sees a sure thing with the vaccine industry. Yet we are obediently distancing. How dumb do you feel? Even when a few hardy folk get together to protest, they try to distance. How dumb do they feel? I would happily join a protest that's a real one: students and white-haired ladies/gents -- not distancing. The fresh air and exercise alone would be a boon to their immune systems. For sure, staying at home alone will weaken them, both physically and mentally. Does that tell you anything at all about the underlying motives of this once-in-a-lifetime reaction to a flu virus? Not even during the Spanish Flu epidemic did healthy people have to stay at home! Not even during bubonic plague were people locked indoors unless they showed verified symptoms! And those who were well were able to socialize in restaurants and bars. It's been a few months since I read Camus' absolutely fascinating book "The Plague" -- strangely it came into my hands just a while before this current fiasco was about to begin -- but the protagonist physician and his friends certainly put all of us chickens to shame. From his quotes on GoodReads, he himself seems to have been a courageous sort of man (though he certainly had some personal flaws if the stories of his womanizing are true). In a while, our dictatorial, so-called leaders are going to lift the isolation orders and send kids back to school, and we will likely see a spike in cases - but we know by now that it's generally mild and most people -- except for the already weakened -- recover. That's how flu has always worked; that's how kids develop immunity -- by mingling -- and they should have been allowed that opportunity. Now they may well go to school full of anxiety and some will lash out at schoolmates who get too close, and it will be difficult for them to keep their minds on their studies. All because they've been taught to respect "authority". Bill Gates couldn't be happier. He wasn't able to stop viruses from infecting Windows, but he's found one he thinks he can use to his advantage instead of causing him to lose customers to Linux. It's given him another lease on life and despite most people hating Windows yet feeling locked into it from lack of knowledge of other operating systems, the chickens of the world are in thrall to the jerks with the most money. It turns them on, any opportunity to rub up against a rich guy, no matter how much of a completely dorky (dull, fatuous) person he/she may be. I'm almost beginning to think this planet does need fewer of us, and it should start with the oligarchs and the people who just can't help themselves around the rich. t's disgusting how "ordinary" folk bow to the likes of the "royalty" that holds popular sway in the UK and Canada. Even Americans go ga-ga over British royalty, no matter how depraved and icky they may personally be. Did you know the Queen is a souse? She drinks 4 cocktails a day (well, maybe not every day, or maybe she does; the science on that is only more-or-less settled), and that's only what we're informed about. Her husband is nasty, evil and murderous. Her sons are twits who get themselves into the ickiest of circumstances, and we're crazy to bow to these repulsive creatures -- yet far too many chickens do it willingly. Why? Because royalty have been held up to school children, from kindergarten on, that the flag and the royal family are sacred. Hard to abandon that kind of brain washing. All of which explains why our so-called leaders have so little respect for the people they claim to represent. Towards the end of last year those leaders had bribed the media, legalized pot (now that's something a worker needs to wear a mask for), and have declared many types of guns illegal, even though they were purchased legally. People who buy guns legally are not likely to commit mayhem with them, while people who do commit mayhem use untraceable firearms. Our government knows this full well. I don't own a gun, I don't want to own a gun, but history shows quite clearly how dangerous it can be for a population to be disarmed -- although, as YYC reader Brian H. indicated in a comment, a good investment might be found in forging and selling pitch forks. Because, as I've said before, when only the government has the weapons ... you get the picture. Now riddle me this: Doug Ford was offered a supply of nurses to help out in homes for the aged. But he hemmed and hawed and then finally sent in the military -- whose uniforms, by the way, look as if they could carry a ton of germs. You have to wonder (at least I do) why we are being set up to cheer for these military volunteers. Have people not seen the photos of the military on the streets of Italy during its Covid experience? (Italy, too, neglected to properly staff and supervise its nursing homes.) Can they not imagine the possibility of this happening on our own streets in Canada? For what reason? There can be only one reason: intimidation. Because people are slowly getting a clue that lock-downs and distancing were never intended to save the lives of the vulnerable. None of this is about protecting humanity! it's ultimately about reducing humanity to obedience and to a size that will reduce financial costs to governments. And it's about our becoming accustomed to, and even reliant upon, Authority. That's why vaccines are so important. We haven't a clue what's in them, of course, but they are big business; the biggest there is. Bill Gates may contribute money toward vaccine development, but he also invests money in the pharmaceutical business itself, so he stands to get back every penny, and far more. Personally, I will go to jail rather than accept a vaccine. I've had no vaccine in my entire life (except for small pox when I was little, which my body tried hard to reject -- and that was done to me at school, long after the disease itself had disappeared through better sanitation) and I'm not about to start now. I will add that I think I had the flu when I was about 15, but nothing like it since; nor have I had a cold, even, since 1996. I had stomach flu in the early 80's, but I blame that on Disney World. I'm convinced that vaccines weaken the immune system in various ways, according to the type of vaccine itself and I want no truck with them. Once vaccinations (including flu vaccines) are made mandatory, on threat of penalty, for every last person on earth, people like Gates and Soros will literally own the planet. Too bad there isn't a vaccine against megalomania. Even if people refuse to accept the jab, Gates and Soros will still make the same amount of money because governments are contracted to buy anyway. Canada, for example, obligingly pre-orders and pays for flu vaccines even if a particular version turns out to be a dud -- or even a killer. It makes no bones about that on the official website:
That's how oligarchs thrive. George Soros, a close buddy of Gates, and also of our Trudeau/Freeland combo, donates all kinds of money to disturbances around the world. It seems that his dream of an Open Society is a Liberal one -- so how open is it, really, when only one party is allowed to rule? He likes the kind of government that was run by war-mongers Obama and Clinton because he, personally, can operate more freely as an investor (and a tax avoider) in that kind of environment. He also contributes generously to the Clinton Foundation. What Soros wants is less interference in "the markets" and pharmaceuticals is currently where the market is at. You can be certain that neither he nor Gates wants interference with this in particular. CivilianIntelligenceNetwork: Remdesivir: George Soros & Bill Gates Partner with China on Coronavirus Drug! This apparently happened in February before the "pandemic" even got off the ground in the West! And the stock price surged! I'm only scratching the surface of this conspiracy because my old brain gets tired just trying to absorb it. All I know for sure is that George Soros claims to want "Open Society" which, one assumes, would include cooperation through open markets, but ...
And who reportedly owns Gilead? Why, Soros, of course. So, it's not surprising that Trump continually calls it the Chinese virus. He wants to make China look bad, because that appeals to his racist following. In reality, Trump himself, reportedly, owns shares in Gilead Sciences. More recently, from Common Dreams: This is a massive scandal: The grassroots group ACT UP, which has fought for decades for equitable access to HIV-AIDS drugs and to healthcare, also expressed outrage on social media.
This apparently despite the fact that the US gov't under Trump sued Gilead over the patent rights to HIV "prevention": WashPost Complicated, eh? Dirty. Sneaky. Icky. Stinks to high heavens. Meanwhile, it sure doesn't look like the Canadian government is acting in the best interests of its people, but rather in the interests of Interest. Are we completely fooled by this declaration: NatPost: Justin Trudeau voluntarily moves personal investments into blind trust "to avoid any risk due to conflict of interest". We're supposed to believe that Trudeau doesn't even know where his money has been invested. But of course, it would go into the stocks with the most potential -- you know, like pharmaceuticals. As for Doug Ford, first he strips Ontario researchers of provincial support funds prior to the "pandemic"; now he proudly offers money for that very kind of research. What a guy, eh? From The Star:
Where Ford invests his personal funds seems to be a secret. Food, beer, pot, chicken farms? Not guns, I guess. Below Images: https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/247346204508183035/ https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/65583738303539119/

Yaya, if your immune system could wrestle with Justin (I'm a good wrestler because my mommy told me so) Trudeau's immune system, yours would win with one hand tied behind its back. Ditto for Doug Ford.

We're birds of a feather, M.R. - although I doubt very much I'd be brave enough to try to break up a cat fight. Too chicken:-}

Well, one of them was my own cat and in his defensive fury and confusion it was he who bit me.

Just to be a busybody ... it's interesting that I know of two instances in which you've had painful injuries to your wrists.

I'll take a look at that site. I deal better with physical pain than having to observe injustice or insanity (well from my point of view at least). I feel blessed to have your site and others where injustice is revealed and sanity prevails.

Totally with you about dealing with the physical stuff better than with unjust treatment. I feel blessed having intelligent readers like you.

Hi Penny: The book will fascinate you totally. In fact, if my dam library was open I would borrow and read it again. It's written in calm, quiet, matter-of-fact language in the voice of an M.D. who treated the plague victims. The whole town was locked down, only in that no one could enter or leave the town. Otherwise, business continued as more or less usual.

I found "The Plague" in pdf format. I'm going to read it too. (I like many of those Camus quotes.) Early last winter I was reading through the Oregon series written by Clive Cussler and one of the books was "Plague Ship" ... had no idea then what was coming to our planet.

Poor upstairs lady. If she has indeed gone "whacko" then better she be there than where "they" would take her. Everytime you hear a bang imagine she has just whacked Ferguson, Fauci, Trump, Trudeau, etc. etc. etc. It might make you grin instead of cringe. Make it a little less unsettling at least.

You're very wise, M.R. I can whack vicariously just listening to her. I'll whack Gates first, Soros second, and then the rest of the motley crew, depending on how many times she hammers.

I just got back from "tagging" (no spray paint was used in the commission of this mischief). Yes and yes for Gates and Soros, yayacanada. You get 5 A's for that. Oh wait, you already have 5 A's. It's sort of mental Whack-A-Mole, isn't it. I have been watching the Italian MP's with great admiration.

Today I was solo but other times my husband has driven the getaway car for me. It's pretty hard to hook up with like-minded people when there's "social segregation" and besideds I'm not the out-going type at the best of times. Just hoping somebody somewhere here will begin to think "free" not "fear".
