... 'bout Rape and War
I'm a big Nilsson fan! (YouTube)
And I think I'll re-watch Midnight Cowboy this evening, not just for the theme song, and try not to think about the latest revelations re Dustin Hoffman.
I think by now that people should realize that war and rape travel hand-in-hand. In Iraq for instance:
For starters: John James could be the future Republicans have been waiting for
John James is military to the core; he makes no apology for helping to demolish Iraq on the FALSE premise of WMD's - but rather uses his service there as a proud part of his curriculum vitae - mindlessly using the Newspeak term "Iraqi Freedom"!
Given that he is soft on war, James appears to be qualified to run for either party, especially since the Dems won't have Hillary to carry on Obama's dirty work, and Sanders is too far left for the neo-libs, which practically forced Ms. Clinton to outdo Russia in "influencing" the election:
When is Hillary going to realize that the rig-jig is up?
Along with backstabbing anyone in her way, she has revealed her killer instinct by laughing with personal delight at Muammar Gaddaffi's brutal, humiliating death. Now that her own attempt to schmooze Putin (no, really?) has been shown to have failed, she's gotten even more personally vindictive. She says Putin "manspreads" and did it right in front of her!
Like just about every other man who sits in a chair or on a bus.
The truth about "Iraqi Freedom" and the "liberation" of Libya is that both Saddam Hussein and Gadaffi, on the advice of their new best friend the USA, gave up plans for nuclear capability - and their pal was then free to turn their countries into rubble.
So is it any wonder North Korea feels the need of nuclear might?
Turns out Hussein's real sin was wanting to deal in Euros, and Gadaffi's was wanting to use the gold standard throughout Africa.
But back to the Republicans and their dream of the future. Not a dream, more like a nightmare because it appears we have Neo's on both sides planning Trump's downfall/demise by hook and mostly crook.
But PravdaReport, which, quite naturally, has been closely monitoring the situation, is raining on that parade. Russiagate falling apart, Trump's impeachment delayed indefinitely:
I've been dissing Hillary quite a bit, but it bemuses me when people automatically assume that I am pro-Trump. They think that if you don't like one, you must like the other. But true skeptics are not swayed by mere propaganda, and it sets them apart from people they might otherwise get along with.
I still exercise my Canadian right to vote, but historically for a fringe element like the Marijuana Party or The Rhinoceros Party. Gee, did I help the pot people win their victory in Canada, or has our government finally figured out how to control and profit from legalized pot?
Despite Trump's win in 2016, here's a blatant example of how successful was the Dems' use of the corporate media in the brainwashing of the average American:
Black Pastor Says He Was Kicked Out Of A Fancy Gym And Banned For Life For Supporting Trump
So, shame on the people who kicked him out, but ...
I don't know why this guy supports Trump, but, since he's a "Christian" it may be that some (many?) Christians don't think too clearly. For instance, many of them don't seem to understand the admonitions of their own prophet Jesus, especially the warning about taking up the sword, which both Dems and Repugs love to do, and threaten to do, all over the place.
Not to mention that, as an African-American, he appears also to have a mental disconnect concerning racism in that he supports Trump's immigration sentiments. Somebody should tell him that the US itself, especially under Obama's leadership, is hugely responsible for the Middle East refugee crisis in the first place.*
The more the media distract themselves and others with the "blame Russia" campaign, and the less it's ignored that the US itself is on the verge of moral and civil collapse, the more I feel that 1984 was not fiction but prophecy.
And when I see a warning as explicit as this one at Online Books, where Canadians can read all the best books for free, I know that something is "very rotten in the state(s)". The US leadership is indeed "festering with moral and political corruption".
Sorry to butcher Shakespeare like that, but Hamlet also seems sadly prophetic.
