Coincidentally? Parliament Hill Canada erects more and more fencing.

Domestic Use of the Military ...
Where is all this headed?
Do we know for certain that the masked protectors of freedom in the photo above are police officers or military? Trump has, after all, expressed a desire to use the military.
It's a bit scary to see how people can abandon belief in their own common sense and morality during unusual circumstances that evoke a fear response. Belief in the power of "authority" is dangerous for those who trust it implicitly, let alone those labelled "conspiracy theorists".
At times like this, if somebody's going to get treated badly, it's going to be the folks that the easily frightened are subliminally nervous about anyway. Sadly, it appears we're going to see more and more backlash against "outsiders" in our western society.
Things have been heading up to this in Kingston, NY, for instance.
Kingston has a not-so-subtle history of treating differently people who aren't "white"; one young man, for instance, complained of having been arrested one morning on his way to work on the sole grounds that he was black and wearing red shorts!
In 2015, Fabian Marshall, 27, was brutally manhandled by Kingston Police because they were hunting down a man described as black and wearing red shorts so, no questions asked, they assumed they had their man! When he resisted, he was tasered 21 times, a number that has not been disputed by the Police Commission.
When Marshall asked how he could be arrested when he hadn't done anything, the arresting Officer told him: "We can lock up whoever we want." YouTube
Marshall and another person presented their cases to the Police Commission:

They sang this song from the 60's:
"Deep in my heart, I do believe; we shall overcome some day."
See also Joan Baez singing it. YouTube
That song always gives me goosebumps and makes me cry real tears. It goes back such a long, long way before these beautiful kids were born, and it's still being sung for the same damn reasons! (Except that the youngsters watching it now on YouTube are applying it to Covid deaths as if that were in any way appropriate!!!!)
Something else that affected me emotionally: a girl in the below video says, "There's no way to celebrate genocide." It's a Canada Day celebration at Kingston, Ontario, but indigenous people and supporters don't feel much like celebrating and are trying to explain their reasons to a bunch of old, deliberately obtuse colonialists who feel their parade in their bright red shirts should take priority because they got a permit from City Hall.
The response from the old guy on the front line was: "Get out of the way, girlie".

Indigenous lives matter only if you "protest in a proper manner" (Kingston police officer)
Protests like this are bound to happen wherever a country has been founded by "whites" who slaughtered and shoved aside the original inhabitants -- even in Australia, which began as a place to dump 50,000 British criminal offenders ("prisons were too expensive")!
"Sorry Day" in Perth, Australia May 26, 2014 YouTube
"I just want my kids back". Police harass mothers and grandmothers protesting against the new "stolen generation".
Protester: "My mum was taken from her mum; I was taken from my mum; now my kids have been taken from me."
By "white" people trying to "civilize" the natives through their offspring.
There's pure evil walking on this earth. Don't doubt it for a minute. And it's not mystical at all; it's "white" people who imagine that God loves them best.
Even US citizens whose ancestors were brought to there against their will, under unthinkable conditions, are treated as if they don't belong. Slavery ostensibly ended, but young black people are more likely than "whites" to be arrested (for drug possession, for instance) and forced to return to slaving in the fields -- since it's been discovered that privately owned prisons are actually moneymakers. (See image at bottom of this page)
It's little wonder that some police officers think they can treat young blacks any way they've a mind to:
CNN: Independent autopsy and Minnesota officials say George Floyd's death was homicide
If it "didn't say" then it wasn't the cause of his death. A knee on anyone's neck for going on 9 minutes is death getting ready to happen!
CNN: George Floyd protests spread nationwide
CNN: After nationwide protests, 4 officers face new charges in George Floyd's death
All the world was watching when Martin Luther King was murdered. But the beat goes on. Trump's threats and curfews will not contain the response, though the family of George Floyd are asking for peaceful protests.
NBC: Trump says military 'ready, willing and able' to deploy to Minneapolis amid protests
And it may not be black folks creating the most havoc.
CNN: White supremacists pose as Antifa online, call for violence
CBC:Trudeau says Canadians watching U.S. events in 'horror,' avoids naming Trump after long pause
Ever since the military was brought into the nursing homes, instead of the 200 nurses on offer, and have elevated their status with a stern report on conditions in nursing homes, will it be decided that the military can more effectively quell protests as well?
After all, how could any of us tell who is underneath the protective gear they'd be encased in? All we saw at Montebello (protest against the SPP) were shadowy faces encased in plastic, and some of those guys looked like they had come out of retirement for the event.
If it happens, it will simply confirm, even more so than the needless restrictions of the Covid flu virus, that Canada's government is Liberal in name only, and that it doesn't really matter which party takes charge, the outcome could be Law and Order for all but the privileged.
The flouting of the lock-down rules, for instance, by Conservative (both federal and provincial), Liberal and Green leaders, tends to add weight to that premise. So far, it's only the tiny NDP (federal) and the Bloc Quebecois calling out the PM for failing to express an opinion on Trump's hard measures:
CBC: NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh has condemned Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's failure to call out the "reprehensible" actions of U.S. President Donald Trump as protests escalate over anti-black racism.
If Trudeau doesn't want to publicly criticize Trump, is it because he has already been instructed to use the military should things heat up in Canada? I mean, let's face it; the Covid rules were not dreamed up by him personally. He's taking orders; pure and simple. When he took that long pause, he was very clearly asking himself, "What did they tell me to say here?"
Don't forget the Master of Chaos - George Soros - directing Trudeau through his Minister of Everything, Chrystia Freeland. See: Many Soros, Canadian Voters: George Soros has "very great hopes for Canada."
