Bill Nye Feels Threatened by Old People
Thanks Billy Boy! You've kick-started my ticker.
Young Billy Nye, the self-styled "Science Guy", has made me want to live forever! And I've always been able to do whatever I set my mind to.
I know why he wants me gone; it's because I have memories! Memories of hot-hot summers -- 99 in the shade was a brag instead of a moan (we had our own outdoor thermometers) -- and other summers we thought would never warm up; then longer, colder winters, higher snow banks; then rainy winters that ruined Christmas -- and even a hurricane that whipped through Canadian cities, doing all kinds of damage. She was called Hazel as also was my mother who ruled until she was well into her 95th year.
So watch out, Billy Boy; I've got genes!
In my day (I can't believe I just said that), there were so few cars on the roads that kids used them for skip-rope games, playing hockey (with frozen horse turds for pucks), learning how to ride a bike, and patting the noses of horses that pulled the bread and milk carts.
So not a whole lot of carbon, eh? -- although the horses did break wind occasionally -- so why all the weather anomalies?
I really wasn't hoping to live to 94, at least not if it meant having to use a walker, but now I am, thanks to Bill Nye's potty mouth, and the threatening manner in which he strives to be a good old (well-paid) boy, helping to propagate a climate myth:
TheHill: Bill Nye tees off on climate change skeptics: 'The planet is on f---ing fire!'
He talks to kids with that mouth? He needs to be careful -- a gang of old ladies could show up at his house and wash his mouth out with soap.
Folks, there are other, better, more entertaining science guys. For instance, you really need to enjoy one of Dr. Willie Soon's hilarious, yet brilliant videos on the subject of carbon. He's a much more likeable guy than Bill De-Nye, and he's a real science guy.
Mind you, not everybody likes Dr. Soon either, but at least he doesn't cuss about it; he keeps a sense of humour and just carries on telling his truth.
We certainly get an indication of the side Wikipedia has taken. It tries to paint Dr. Soon as positively evil, not by successfully countering his theories, but by dwelling on media reports of controversies surrounding him with regard to his sources of funding.
The National Review wanted also to talk about the situations of both Dr. Soon and Dr. Richard Lindzen (to whom I will refer again later in this post), but in a much less biased manner:
NationalReview: It isn’t the fossil-fuel companies that are polluting climate science.
What people fail to realize is that the fossil fuel industries have funded both sides of the climate debate, whereas government-funded climate research cherry-picks in favour of carbon-based conclusions because they need to justify having created a whole new tax base.
The fuel industries couldn't care less about the scientific conclusions of their donees; philanthropy is merely their way of looking less greedy and in the end, it doesn't cost them a single red cent:
AZCentral: Advantages & Disadvantages of Corporate Philanthropy
And, as always, any carbon taxes that may be levied upon them will simply be passed on to the consumer in higher prices.
A scientist is going to take funding where s/he can get it, so consider from whence Bill Nye may be receiving his persuaders - probably the same kinds of places as Canada's David Suzuki who once confirmed that we were headed into an ice age and then mysteriously changed his frosty tune whereupon he was rewarded with a whole pile of TV spots.
Suzuki wasn't the only one: see this short video clip from an episode of the 1976-1982 television series "In Search of...". The episode starred Leonard Nimoy and was titled: "The Coming Ice Age".
With regard to university scientists, it is not necessarily because they are inherently dishonest but more likely because of the "publish or perish" mandate. Secluded academic havens have been invaded by the real world rule of capitalism and, like everybody else, they just want to keep their jobs -- which may be why some get so angry and defensive when contradicted (and in pseudo-scientist Billy De-Nye's case, foul mouthed) instead of enjoying the debate - the way that Dr. Willie Soon seems able to.
In an AlJazeera "interview" of scientist Richard Lindzen on YouTube, notice how anxiously volatile his detractors become, yet how calm, cool and collected Lindzen remains despite barely being allowed to speak.
When you're right, and you know you're right, you don't tend to get as worked up, or feel as threatened, as those who feel pressured to believe otherwise. Personally, I don't know what's going to happen. All I can do is experience the weather and, so far, it's nothing I haven't seen in other decades, so I have to consider that the carbon tax is a ruse of some sort. At the very least, it seems to be a callous exploitation of the average citizen in favour of corporations (for instance, the electric vehicle manufacturers).
Forbes: The Carbon Tax: Great Concept, Lousy Idea
For all we know, 5G may be a far more dangerous prospect, and already there are numerous sales outlets for protective measures. See: "Move Over Climate Change": 5G is a greater boon to business"
You want to really be scared out of your wits? The corporate, agenda-driven media are loading up the big guns now! Get a load of this:
GlobalNews: How climate change could make your food less safe to eat
A scare tactic proudly propagated by no less than the Government of Canada!
And it's going to get worse as we head into the federal election and the Liberals fight to justify the carbon tax along with all the other messes they've gotten themselves into.
