I'll just start right in.

Along with Cons, we also have Pros and Ors:

PRO: You don't have to wear a bra: HuffPost

CON: If the quarantine lasts too long, you could end up so saggy they'll need 24-hour support.


PRO: You have time to have time: The Atlantic

CON: It's only noon. The TV sit-coms don't start for HOURS yet.


PRO: You can sing out loud and there'll be nobody there to plug their ears.

CON: You could flub the lyrics: Time on my hands; you in my heart; nothing but walls in view...

PRO 1: Your brain recharges; you get more done; you become more creative; you appreciate more a phone call from a friend. Psychalive

PRO 2: Wow, you can actually get your tax forms laid out on the dining table!


CON 1:  Your landlord isn't going to like that hole in the wall, as artistic as it is with all the pretty painted flowers encircling it.  And your fist is going to hurt like ... heck.

CON 2:  "Call me anytime you feel lonely" turns out not to mean 5 times in the middle of the night.


This is especially Bad for Entertainers -- no audience. People.com

No Upside; all CONS: Full length mirrors and pretend mikes just don't cut it. For one thing, you'll see the size of your hips.


More Bad:

Remember Tom Hanks talking to a volley ball in "Castaway"?  (I love that movie. It's the best thing Hanks ever did.)

(Memo to Tom: Life is NOT like a box of chocolates! One rarely gets to pick and choose unless seen as a SOMEBODY, like a Queen, or a Prime Minister, or an oligarch, or a movie star.)

PRO: You can re-watch "Castaway".

OR how about "The Shining". It's about a whole family that goes bonkers when isolated together!

I plan to watch both of those this evening so I won't feel so alone in my aloneness.

OR -- (and I can highly recommend this) you could take up blogging and combine it with Facebook AND learn a foreign language!

Come to think of it, that's quite a challenge, but I'll ponder it after I have lunch, and maybe a nap ...

The really neat thing about napping alone is there's nobody to hear you snore.

​​OR -- You can vaccuum the rugs. Yeah, that's what I'll do.  First, I'll have to read the instructions (Wikihow) (it's been quite a while) -- whut? 4 Ways to Vaccuum? Give me a break.​
